Victorian Era Pamphlet

Canada was very influenced by the reign of Queen Victoria.  The text book lays out some of the important trends in this time.  (Pages 56-72)  Create a paphlet explaining the culture of time.  Each section should feature a different aspect (i.e. food, fashion, travel, technology, music, government, class, and many more).  The idea is that if I could time travel, your pamphlet would teach me to fit in, in the Victorian Era.

The paphlet should be typed and have pictures!

Confederation Research Project

As a group you will be responsible for teaching the class about one aspect of Confederation.  With this project you will be required to choose the information you feel relevant and present it to the best of your ability.
Each presentation must include technology as a part of the presentation.  This could be a PowerPoint, movie, slideshow, or other medium.  You will also provide each student with a page of notes on your topic. Presentations will be marked based on:
1.      Content (did you cover all of the necessary information)
2.      Presentation (were you prepared, well spoken, and practiced)
3.      Technology (was the PowerPoint (or other medium) helpful in keeping people engaged)
4.      Participation (did you have an active role in the preparation and presentation)
5.      Summary Notes (did your class notes provide the class with the important information)
Projects will significantly affect your mark, so put in the time and effort to get the marks!
